Sandy Halkett

Sandy has been teaching golf for 20 years. She is a native of Greenville. Her career started at Keowee Key Country Club, while still a student at Clemson University, and she's never slowed down since. After graduating, golf took her to Orlando where she was an Assistant Professional. Becoming homesick for her family and friends, she moved back home and landed a job at The Cliffs of Glassy. She was with The Cliffs for 7 years. A journey that started her out as an Assistant Professional and ended as the first female Head Professional of a Cliffs course.

She wasn't born with a golf club in her hand, more like a soccer ball at her feet. She played several sports before the golf bug got ahold of her. She lettered in tennis, basketball and soccer while at Eastside High School. She also played soccer for the SC Olympic Development team and for 3 years while at Clemson. "I had to work at golf, unlike the other sports I played that came so natural to me".
Sandy has brodened her career by becoming a Collegiate Assistant Golf Coach at USC Upstate for 3 years. However very enjoyable, she decided to leave coaching to be home more with her three childeren, ages 8, 6 and 4. Being a mom and golf instructor is more than a fulltime job.
Sandy teaches all levels of players and works with disabled golfers and is the Special Olympics Golf Coach for Greenville.

Mike Carter

Mike is one of  91 professional certified golf instructors associated with THE PLANE TRUTH GOLF INSTRUCTION.  World top 10 teacher, Jim Hardy, and Chris O'Connell, Matt Kuchar's instructor, are the driving force behind THE PLANE TRUTH GOLF INSTRUCTION.  Every fall Mike attends the annual summit in Houston, Texas to meet with Jim, Chris, and the other certified PLANE TRUTH instructors from around the world.  Mike's instruction is based on the paradigm that all golfers are either one players or two planers, and it is vital for a golfer to understand which type of swing he or she has.  Once the student has this knowledge, the lesson is simply one of neutralizing the steep and shallow issues a student has in the swing.   Mike can  make available to his students videos from the PLANE TRUTH MATRIX featuring Jim and Chris.  Also, Mike can review with his students case study lessons given by Chris O'Connell to his students.
